The Big Swing Social

Live jazz and swing dancing!

Join us at Unit 45 on Wednesday 9 December for an evening of irresistible live music and social dancing, featuring The Blue Bottle Club and local swing dance favourites Swing Thing.

Whether you're a seasoned dancer, a complete beginner or just fancy a great night of live music, everyone's welcome.

THE BLUE BOTTLE CLUB

Led by Rum Buffalo frontman Jake Alexander Stevens, The Blue Bottle Club brings together some of London's finest jazz musicians for a high-energy mix of old-time jazz, tango and rhythm & blues. Expect infectious rhythms, vintage sounds and music made for moving your feet.

SWING THING

Based in Earlswood, Swing Thing have been sharing their love of Lindy Hop and Charleston since 2012. Led by John Turner and Sarah Hosker, the club celebrates the joyful, energetic swing dances that first took off in the jazz clubs of Harlem.

They'll kick off the evening with an introductory dance lesson and demonstration before opening up the floor for a social dance, accompanied by live music from The Blue Bottle Club.

No experience necessary, no partner required - just come along and give it a go!

And if dancing isn't your thing, come and enjoy the band and soak up the vibe.
