Mall Session: Jeanie & The White Boys

Redstart's legendary indie and alternative nights at Unit 45 bringing you the very best up and coming punk, alternative and indie bands from near and far!

JEANIE & THE WHITE BOYS

If you’ve ever stumbled into a DIY venue, warehouse rave, or sticky-floored dive bar and found yourself hypnotised by a voice that sounded like Debbie Harry fronting a no wave circus, chances are you’ve met Jeanie Crystal or at least felt her energy in the room. As the frontwoman of Jeanie and the White Boys, Jeanie channels something both theatrical and visceral: a punk-glam cabaret of sound, sweat, satire and soul.

Her band is part raw noise, part performance art, and entirely unmissable. It’s no surprise they’ve become a cult favourite among London’s underground scenes, pulling from decades of outsider aesthetics and recharging them with queer fury and messy glamour. Think New York Dolls, think Nina Hagen, think Grace Jones doing punk karaoke in a drag dungeon, only louder.

GODSPLIT

Filthy riffs, crushing breakdowns and absolutely no apologies.

Godsplit are bringing their gloriously uncompromising blend of crust punk and sludge metal back to Unit 45, delivering the kind of gloriously chaotic, high-energy performance that isn't for the faint-hearted.

Loud, raw and wonderfully unruly. Godsplit are back, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

GIBBERISH

They create a grungy yet ethereal sonic space both live and on recordings, crafting a balance of driving guitar tones and melodic lead lines with introspective and emotive lyrics.

Consisting of Fin Dyer (vocals, rhythm guitar), Albie Baxter (lead guitar), Tiana Eden (bass) and Ellis Goodall (drums), the band have been playing together throughout various projects since 2021 and continue to work together on this new project.
