Good Show vs WeGotTickets
WeGotTickets are one of the good ones, and we agree with them about most things. What separates us is what happens to the booking fee, what the platform can do, and how much of it you can run yourself. Here is the difference, plainly.
Written by us, about a competitor. Everything we say about WeGotTickets comes from their own published pages and was last checked in August 2026. If we have got something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
What we both do
- A long-standing name in UK grassroots music.
- Independently owned.
- Free for organisers, with the fee paid by the customer.
- A human support team behind the platform.
- Money going back into the scene through charity partnerships.
And here is what you get with us
Everything above, plus all of this. Free, on every event, from your first ticket.
Half of every booking fee is your income
Their booking fee funds their platform, and an organiser can choose to absorb some of it to lower the price for customers. Ours works the other way round: half of it comes to you as income, on top of your ticket price.
Reserved seating, included
Draw your room once, seat by seat, and customers pick their own. Accessible seats, tables and standing areas, with a door list that knows who is sitting where. Part of the platform, at no cost.
Waitlists that sell the ticket back for you
When a sold-out ticket comes back, the people waiting hear about it automatically, in waves, oldest first. You do nothing and the ticket sells twice.
A guestlist that reaches the door
Hold places back without dropping your allocation, and the names appear on the same door list as everyone who paid. One list on the night, not a spreadsheet and a printout.
Accessibility your customers can actually read
Step-free routes, toilets, assistance dogs and where to sit, answered as real questions on the venue and shown on every listing. Most platforms give you a link and hope.
