We built the ticketing we needed for our own events

Good Show is run by people who put on events. We got tired of watching independent venues and promoters subsidise the big sellers, so in 2023 we built the alternative. No commission, no contracts, and an extra source of income going to the organisers doing the work.

How it started

Two organisers, the same complaint, and a platform that didn't exist yet.

  1. The same pattern, every time

Stuart runs a grassroots music venue and plays in bands. He'd spent years watching the big sellers get the deals, the kickbacks and the account manager, while venues his size got a contract they couldn't leave with barebones incentives, if any.

  2. It wasn't just him

So he started talking to other organisers: venue owners, promoters and festival organisers around the country. It was the same story time after time. Bad deals for smaller organisers, great ones for the big sellers.

  3. He took it to Adam

A lifelong friend who'd spent his career producing live events from the other side of the industry, but with a deep passion for grassroots music, and a regular at Stuart's venue.

  4. So they built it

In 2023 they made the thing they'd both wanted: one clear customer fee, at the industry standard rate, split evenly with the organiser. No commission. No contract. Nothing to pay. Everybody wins, apart from the traditional big platforms.

The big sellers enjoy special treatment, generous deals and regular kickbacks, while smaller venues like mine are left without the support they desperately need.

What we hold to

Four commitments. They haven't changed since day one.

  1. The organiser is the customer

Not advertisers, not investors, not a data broker. Features are built from real experience, not for shareholder profit.

  2. Your audience is yours

Your data is yours forever and we don't hold it over you as leverage. Get your marketing list any time, instantly.

  3. One customer fee, said out loud

No surprise charges at the last step of checkout. The fee is visible from the start.

  4. Independent, and staying that way

Founded with our own money and kept alive by our own half of the booking fee. No outside shareholders, so nobody can make us into something we’re not.

How we make money

The customer pays one booking fee, at a rate you choose. Half of it is your income from the moment it's earned; the other half is what we run on. That's the whole business model.

No subscription, no commission, no transaction charges, no contracts.

A £12 ticket, £1.20 booking fee

Optional at checkout

Where the donations go

Every checkout offers customers a small optional £1 donation to charity. 100% of it goes to them. We don't take a penny, and we never round it into our own revenue.

£34,000+ raised by customers so far, and counting

Nothing hidden in the small print
