Good Show vs Ticket Tailor

Ticket Tailor is a capable platform with a lot of customers. We are built specifically for UK grassroots and independent live events, we cost nothing to use, and we pay you a share of every booking fee. Here is the difference, plainly.

Written by us, about a competitor. Everything we say about Ticket Tailor comes from their own published pages and was last checked in August 2026. If we have got something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

What we both do

And here is what you get with us

Everything above, plus all of this. Free, on every event, from your first ticket.

We are free. They are not.

This is the plainest difference between us. Ticket Tailor charges you to use it, priced per ticket, and their own positioning is that they are the cheapest rather than that they are free. We do not charge organisers anything, ever, for any part of the platform.

No card processing fees, because we take the payment

Ticket Tailor asks you to connect your own Stripe, Square or PayPal account, and the money goes straight there. That means the card processing fee on every transaction is yours to carry, on top of what Ticket Tailor charges you, and their own site offers you the option of passing it on to your customer instead. We take the payment ourselves, so there is no processor to connect and no per-transaction cost to you at all.

Half of every booking fee is your income

This is the difference that matters most. Our booking fee is paid by the customer and half of it comes to you, so selling tickets earns you money on top of the face value rather than costing you something. Nobody else in this comparison does that.

Reserved seating, included

Draw your room once, seat by seat, and customers pick their own. Accessible seats, tables, standing areas and a door list that knows who is sitting where. It is part of the platform at no cost, and it is a paid extra almost everywhere else.

Built for UK grassroots music

They are deliberately scale-agnostic, from a conference for 200 to a concert for 20,000. We are not trying to be that. Everything here is shaped around independent promoters and small venues, which is why the accessibility fields, the door list and the guestlist work the way they do.

Optional donations to the Music Venue Trust

Customers can add a small donation at checkout and every penny goes to the Pipeline Investment Fund, which puts money back into grassroots venues.
