Mall Sessions: Hutch + BÆNCH + APOSTROPHE

Redstart's legendary indie and alternative nights at Unit 45 bringing you the very best up and coming punk, alternative and indie bands from near and far!

HUTCH

Psychedelic pop, infectious hooks and a glorious dose of musical mischief!

Brighton's Hutch are bringing their exuberant blend of psychedelic rock, jangly guitars and irresistible pop melodies to Unit 45.

Known for their joy-filled, high-energy live shows, Hutch combine shimmering harmonies, infectious grooves and a wonderfully unpredictable sound, drawing on everything from '60s psychedelia to modern indie pop. Their ever-evolving live line-up now features harp, flute and synth alongside the guitars, creating a colourful, feel-good musical experience.

Having toured across the UK and Europe, supporting artists including The Last Dinner Party, Oracle Sisters and Do Nothing, Hutch have also appeared at festivals including The Great Escape, Victorious and 2000 Trees.

Championed by BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and CLASH, who praised their “carefree psyche-pop effervescence”, Hutch are fast becoming one of the UK's most exciting emerging live bands.

Expect big melodies, beautiful harmonies and plenty of psychedelic surprises!

BÆNCH

Dark, atmospheric and explosive - Danish alternative rock with serious attitude.

Blending the brooding intensity of '80s post-punk, the raw power of '90s grunge and the soaring choruses of modern alternative rock, BÆNCH create a sound that's as infectious as it is uncompromising.

Driving guitars, swirling synths and powerful vocals combine with danceable rhythms and huge, anthemic hooks. It's a sound built for the live stage, where BÆNCH have earned a reputation for electrifying performances that balance raw energy with moments of atmospheric intensity.

Following the release of their debut EP 'GO GO GO' in 2025, the band have enjoyed radio support at home and internationally, including plays on BBC Radio 1 and Amazing Radio, alongside a string of sold-out shows on their Danish tour.

Now bringing their music to audiences across Scandinavia and the UK, BÆNCH make a stop at Unit 45 as part of their latest international tour.

Expect big choruses, dark grooves and a thrilling live show from one of Denmark's emerging alternative rock acts!

APOSTROPHE

It's not a rock song without a sitar

Meet Apostrophe, a brand-new band with an intriguing approach to rock music and a healthy disregard for the rulebook.

Apostrophe are right at the beginning of their musical journey and we're looking forward to discovering what they've got in store!

There's a special connection to Unit 45, too. Band member George is one of our brilliant young volunteers, helping to build the very venue he'll now be performing in.

New band. New music. Possibly a sitar. What more do you need?
