The Roman Jugg Band in Brighton

We're well chuffed to present The Roman Jugg Band for a special Sunday matinee show.

Doors 2.15pm
£15 ADV / £20 OTD

The Roman Jugg Band

Roman Jugg is a former The Damned guitarist/keyboard player and a key member of the band’s gothic-era line up, having written or co-written and performed much of the material from "Phantasmagoria" and "Anything". He was also a member of Naz Nomad, The Nightmares and Phantom Chords.

The band are focusing mainly on the gothic-era Damned material from "Phantasmagoria" and "Anything", alongside tracks such as "Nasty" and a selection of other Damned classics.

The Roman Jugg Band recently played the Opera House at Rebellion Festival to a great response, with ThePunkSite.com describing the band as:

“The Roman Jugg Band is a welcome reminder of the much underrated contribution Roman made to the most commercially successful era of The Damned... If you’re going to do a nostalgic set that is largely reliving past glories then this is how you do it.”

With Special Guests:

Scare Taxi

We play rebellion - post-punk, goth-pop and alternative rock.

Circa 2015 – Tara, unable to make enough noise alone, cajoled Boag to play guitar on her songs. The clash of sounds made perfect sense.

Fast forward to August 2017, Scare Taxi debuted at The Wedding Present’s ‘Edge of the Sea Festival’ and have played with Electric Six, Membranes, S*M*A*S*H, Art Brut & The Ramonas.
