THE MUSIC OF SOUND - with support from IZZII GRACE and TWIVEE
THE MUSIC OF SOUND features South Indian vocalist Sherin, Welsh composer and keyboardist Neil March, and flautist Elena Trent.
The band, which creates postclassical dream pop music, was formed in 2017 after Neil was booked to play at Latitude Festival as a solo artist but wanted to play with a band on stage.
The group's newest single, Cold Weather Man, was released in December 2024 and has been played on a number of radio stations, the single has also been well-received by music writers in India, the USA, the UK and Spain, and has entered the European Indie Network Charts.
Sherin said the band was thrilled that its newest single was being received positively, adding: "'We are super excited by the attention we are getting from the media in India and to have the endorsement of BBC Introducing and BBC Orbit too is awesome.
Redhill's "IZZII GRACE" is a queer indie pop artist who uses their chaotic energy and bubbly and merges their love of floaty keys, catchy guitar lines and RnB/Soul vocals. They write songs that express their journey with mental health, personal experiences and wildly unpredictable love life.
Their music has been supported by a range of industry personnel such as Jodie Bryant plus radio stations such as, Future Hits and especially BBC introducing Surrey and Sussex. They were also interviewed on the show and spoke about their musical journal and the importance of talking about mental health.
Championed by BBC Introducing, TWIVEE (pronounced Twy-vee) is rapper, singer, producer & mixing engineer from Redhill. From aggressive honesty in his raps, to the raspy soul in his melodies, Twivee’s style breaks the boundaries of traditional Rap & Hip Hop, infusing smooth RnB/Soul on some tracks, while experimenting with heavy electronic synths and pounding drums on others. BBC Introducing host Melita Dennett once stated “you just never know what he’s going to do next”, which in Twivee’s case proves him to be a pioneer of his own unique sound separating him from the rest.
